The Show about the Instructional Design Journey

This is goodbye 👋

I'm sad that I didn't get to finish Season 4, but I started Dear Instructional Designer with the idea that I would stop when I was unable to do a good job or when I wanted to move on.

Season 4, was about freelancing. I jumped in with both feet, without a good plan. But I learned a lot! Still as I continued to look at positions out there in a the world, I found that my work up until that point, did not seem to be positioning me for the work that I wanted. So I started looking around for an opportunity to be more data-driven in my work and to really improve myself as a practitioner in the learning space. so, I'm back in the world of full-time employment! It's been difficult, but I'm still learning.

I still get so many wonderful emails from listeners about this show. Thank you all for coming with me on this journey. I'm going to keep this site up and running and, maybe one day, I'll be back.

About the Show

I'm an instructional design newbie looking to help other newbies like me. We hear from ID thought leaders in a variety of places. Their voices are important, but can still leave questions and frustrations. What is the life of an instructional designer really like? This show is going to delve into all of the mess and how we can deal with it.
